The Issues

Losing “Hope” is common in the art world.  Art is being stolen from artists, leaving them little to no recourse to get it back.  Despite proof of ownership, such as consignment documents, artist often lose their valuable artwork because of loop holes in the system.  Much emphasis is placed on outright theft of art (masked men doing a museum score), wartime spoils, etc.  The media in general has ignored the artists, such as Kevin Jenne who are successful in the art world, but by no means wealthy from it.  How can such an artist afford high priced lawyers and fight a system that clearly advantages those in possession of the work, such as landlords in this case.  Even if legal letters are sent, these are ignored, leaving the artist to pay for such futile efforts.

Losing Hope’s goal is to give the power back to the artists.  With your help, we can empower the artists to claim back their stolen work.  How?  First, we need to raise awareness of the issues with any and all means possible.
